about

*SAMA nominated album!*

“Stories from the Alphabet Tree Volume 1” is the first in a series of 4 CDs containing stories based on the acclaimed “African Alphabet” CD.

What do a baobab tree, a dassie named Dumi, a crocodile, a dung beetle & a baby elephant have in common? They are all part of a vibrant African Alphabet.

The CD introduces the first 6 letters of the alphabet from an African perspective.

In the hot sun of the African Bushveld, under the shade of a big baobab tree, settle down and listen to stories filled with bravery, adventure and laughter.
Come on a journey where you will meet “Dumi” the responsible little Dassie, a very gullible “Deedles” the dung beetle, a baby elephant who bullies & a brave little firefly.

The stories have been successfully performed in front of live audiences around Gauteng as part of the Arts Alive Festival. They are full of fun and excitement, and each is followed by an African alphabet song.
